Family of Humphrey KEYES (4) & Marcella WADE

5. John KEYES Sr.[1] Born on 25 Sep 1752 in Mistick, near Boston, NE.[8] John died in Athens, Limestone Co., AL on 13 Feb 1839; he was 86.[8]

Eldest son of Capt. Humphrey, m. Jan. 27, 1773, in Virginia, "Louisa," or Luvica Talbott, niece of Mr. Marlowe. She was b. near Alexandria, Virginia, Apr. 20, 1756. Capt. John Keyes settled near Alexandria, moved thence to the vicinity of Blountville, Sullivan Co., East Tenn., and finally to Athens, Limestone Co., Alabama, where he died Feb. 13, 1839. Luvica, his wife, died Nov. 6, 1836.[8]

On 27 Jan 1773 when John was 20, he married "Louisa"/Luvica TALBOTT[1], in Virgina.[8] "Louisa"/Luvica died on 6 Nov 1836 in Athens, Limestone Co., AL.[8]

They had the following children:

	i.	Francis[1]. Born on 25 Sep 1775. Eldest son of Capt. John, married Oct. 5, 1801, Mary Meek, emigrated to MO., from VA, accompanied it is said, by some of his sisters, and lived in Morton, Ray Co., MO.[10] On 5 Oct 1801 when Francis was 26, he married Mary MEEK[1], in Virgina.[10]
	ii.	Amelia[1]. Born in 1777. On 14 Aug 1798 Amelia married Samuel MEEK[1].[8]
	iii.	Marcella/Mercy[1]. Born on 13 Oct 1779.
	iv.	"Saley"/Sarah[1]. Born on 9 Aug 1781.
6	v.	John (1783-1864)
	vi.	Havey[1]. Born on 31 Jul 1786.
	vii.	Elizabeth[1]. Born on 9 Sep 1789. Elizabeth died on 7 Feb 1839; she was 49.
	viii.	George[1]. Born on 18 Nov 1792.
	ix.	Washington[1].
	x.	Nancy[1] (Died as Child). Born on 2 Feb 1795. Nancy died on 4 Feb 1806; she was 11.
	xi.	Charlotte[1]. Born on 24 Apr 1797. Charlotte died on 1 Apr 1826; she was 28.
	xii.	Matilda[1] (Died as Infant). Born on 9 Apr 1799. Matilda died on 4 May 1803; she was 4.
	xiii.	Mary[1]. Born on 29 Mar 1801.
	xiv.	Louisa[1]. Born on 2 Apr 1803.
